ESPN.com/doughers pharmacy hours Posted by ESPN.org on Monday, March 07, 2021 07:29:15 The best places to get your pharmacy job at a Target pharmacy are not in the United States or in the European Union, according to the pharmacy company’s latest annual pharmacy earnings report.
The U.S. company reported that its full-time pharmacy employees increased from 1.5 million in 2017 to 2.4 million in 2018.
But the company said its fulltime pharmacy workers earned an average of just $22,000 per year, well below the $29,000 they earned in Europe.
And while the company also reported that more than 100,000 full- and part-time employees earned less than $20,000, it still found that its pharmacy jobs are among the most lucrative in the industry.
That’s because of the country’s competitive pay, the company reported.
Target said it has more than 5 million employees worldwide.
The company also said it is making changes to the way it hires, train and supervises its employees, but those efforts will be focused on “customer service, and not just in-person training.”
Target CEO Dougherty has said that while the business has more competitors in the U.K., the company is not targeting those countries as a “competition,” and instead is focused on its U.s. pharmacy workforce.
The pharmacy company is the largest employer in the country.
The average hourly pay at Target was $21.80, which was well above the average of $20.70 in Europe, according the report.
Target also reported a big increase in sales in 2018, increasing more than 400% year-over-year.
But it also reported declining profit.
The number of pharmacy jobs decreased by almost 40% year over year, from 1,200 in 2017, to 584 in 2018; and the number of people in full- or part- time pharmacy jobs declined by about 40% overall.
Target’s full- time employees earned an annual average of about $27,000 in 2018 — well below average compensation for U.k. employees, according a report from the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.
That compares to $40,000 for the U,s.
Target reported that the company has made significant progress in recent years, including the hiring of more full– and half-time pharmacists, which it said have been “a priority.”
Target is one of a number of large U. k. employers looking to fill positions in the pharmacy industry, including General Mills, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.
The full-service pharmacy industry is expected to be a $3 trillion business by 2021, according an industry forecast.
